Vice President, Institutional Sales - North America (West Coast).
COMPANY BACKGROUND
Patria Investments (NASDAQ: PAX) is a leading global alternative asset manager and the largest private markets firm dedicated to Latin America, with approximately $61 billion in assets under management and a 40-year track record of investing through multiple economic and political cycles.
Founded in 1988 and listed on NASDAQ since 2021, Patria manages capital across a diversified platform spanning private equity, infrastructure, credit, real estate, and global private markets solutions, serving a global institutional client base that includes sovereign wealth funds, public and corporate pensions, insurers, endowments, foundations, consultants, and private wealth platforms across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
The firm employs over 1,000 professionals across offices in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Patria is seeking an experienced VP of Private Markets Institutional Sales to accelerate the firm's fundraising and relationship management efforts across the Western United States and Canada. The role will be based on the West Coast and will work directly in support of the firm's senior salesperson based in San Francisco, with close coordination with the Head of Sales and the broader North American commercial team.
Extend Patria's coverage of institutional investors in the Western region — public and corporate pensions, insurers, endowments, foundations, consultants, family offices, and RIAs — through direct sourcing and management of LP relationships.
Support senior-led relationships across the full sales cycle: preparation, meeting coordination, follow-up, diligence management, and closing.
Collaborate with Patria's senior team on strategic positioning and effective communication of the firm's platform, performance, and brand in North America.
Institutional fundraising and investor relations experience, strong private markets knowledge, and excellent sales, pipeline management, and organizational skills are required. The role involves regular travel throughout the region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and cultivate strong relationships throughout the Western institutional investment community, ensuring Patria's brand, platform, and capabilities are effectively represented.
Systematically map and target investors not presently invested with Patria; establish new relationships and coordinate meetings and roadshows.
Drive follow-up after presentations, field information requests, and coordinate internally to ensure responses are delivered efficiently and the sales process advances.
Interface with field consultants where relevant, in coordination with existing sales leadership and product teams.
Deliver market intelligence — investor developments, changes in appetite and buying behavior, competitive dynamics — that informs the firm's marketing and business strategy.
Work with product leadership to package and position new funds and strategies based on LP and consultant input and competitive assessment.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 6–8 years of directly relevant fundraising / investor relations experience with a recent focus on private markets, in-house or at a third-party placement agent.
In-depth knowledge of private markets products, including private equity, credit, infrastructure, real assets, and semi-liquid structures.
Experience navigating institutional LP relationships across one or more channels: pension funds, insurers, endowments, foundations, consultants. RIAs. Existing West Coast relationships are a strong plus.
A consultative, solutions-oriented approach to investor engagement — asset-allocation-level dialogue rather than product push.
Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex investment concepts to diverse audiences and a track record of exceeding sales targets.
Willingness to travel extensively across the Western US.
LOCATION
West Coast, United States (San Francisco preferred).
