This position will be based in our Santiago, Chile office.
Descripción del Cargo:
The Compliance Associate will be part of the Local and Regional Team based in the Chile office, reporting to the local Compliance Director, supporting supervising the Compliance functions in the local operation, and for some specific regional projects. This role requires strong knowledge in Compliance matters and local Regulation, dynamic, adaptable, and well-organized individual who can demonstrate the ability to engage with all aspects of Compliance that impact a Chilean asset Management Company.
Key Role and Responsibilities
- Support Regulatory, Compliance and Governance relevant matters for the company at a local.
- Work closely with colleagues in Moneda and Patria´s Group to ensure that LatAm processes are aligned and feedback any best practice.
- Keeping up to date and assessing the impact of new regulatory and legal developments, informing to the Compliance Director of any issues that may affect the company and providing recommendations for actions.
- Must inform, keep track, and update action plans related to such new regulations or law projects and its implementation quarterly to the Board of Directors.
- Testing compliance of the company with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures through the completion of assurance monitoring reviews and other oversight processes, in line with the annual Board approved Compliance plan.
- Prepared presentations for Surveillance Committees.
- Promoting a strong compliance culture within the company. Ensuring the compliance of the organization with the Companies Code of Ethics and Conduct and implementing the relevant trainings on this matter to all employees, directors, and vendors when applicable.
Qualifications
- Law, Engineer, or accountant Degree.
- Experience in a Compliance position and Asset Management is valued.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to operate as a “trusted advisor” with balance between support and challenge.
- High sense of urgency, strong work ethic and drive for results.
- A confident approach and an ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders including regulators, directors, legal advisors, outsourced partners, and senior management within the business.
