Investor Relations VP - Hong Kong
Patria is a premier alternative investment firm with 37 years of experience, specializing in key resilient sectors. Our distinctive approach combines insights from investment leaders, sector experts, and company managers, all supported by extensive local and global knowledge. Leveraging over US$50 billion in assets and a strong global presence, we deliver attractive, consistent returns by crafting unique, long-term investment opportunities for our clients and building a lasting legacy in the regions we serve.
We are seeking an Investor Relations Associate / VP to play a strategic "Door Opener" role in our expansion within the Hong Kong and the broader Asia Pacific. This professional will be a key relationship generator, responsible for rebalancing our geographic footprint by building immediate trust and navigating the regional market to secure high-quality investment opportunities.
The primary focus of this role is to act as a strategic initiator for our Public Credit and Bond funds (including a $5bn evergreen fund) and our Long-only LatAm Equities strategies. This is a relationship-driven profile focused on securing the first meeting and generating initial bonds with clients, rather than a technical or analytical role.
Main Responsibilities
Lead the "Door Opening" strategy by identifying and securing meetings with Multi-Family Offices (MFOs), External Asset Managers (EAMs), and Private Banks within the Hong Kong.
Drive the firm’s capital growth by managing the end-to-end fundraising sales funnel, from identifying and qualifying new investor prospects to securing new capital commitments.
Act as the focal point for initial strategic communication, building immediate trust and rapport with potential investors to initiate long-term relationships.
Participate in critical commercial processes, remaining present as the primary relationship lead from the initial introduction through to the closing of the mandate.
Work side-by-side with senior leadership and portfolio managers to ensure the investor-facing narrative aligns with our expansion goals in the region.
Maintain absolute CRM discipline, logging every interaction and coordinating closely with the broader IR and credit teams to track the sales cycle.
Monitor market trends and competitor movements within the region to translate Patria’s value proposition into clear, compelling messages for new prospects.
Requirements
Approximately 4 to 5 years of experience in Business Development, Investor Relations, or Private Banking.
The role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, project management capabilities, and solid experience in the financial markets — ideally in credit, structured finance, private debt, emerging markets, or asset management
Experience at a large, reputable financial firm is highly preferred.
A strong, warm, and active network of contacts in the Hong Kong/APAC (specifically with MFOs, EAMs, or Private Banks).
Proven track record as a "Relationship Generator" with the persistence required for long sales cycles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build an immediate bond with sophisticated investors.
Fluent English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
Desired Profile
Door Opener Mindset: Success is measured by the quality and quantity of new meetings secured and the ability to navigate complex organizations.
Ownership & Autonomy: A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to drive the business development process end-to-end.
Executive Presence: Clear, precise communication and the interpersonal skills necessary to represent Patria at the highest levels.
Commercial Rigor: High degree of organization and discipline in managing a pipeline and maintaining CRM accuracy.
