VP Tax
Group’s Tax Compliance:
Management of tax compliance and ancillary obligations for subsidiaries in Brazil, United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Chile, Uruguay, and Colombia. Includes FATCA and CRS assessments, Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax, and other regional taxes on income or revenues from services.
Review of tax calculations and ancillary obligations of the Brazilian subsidiaries
Group’s Tax Planning:
Responsible for the analysis to establish efficient tax structures and operations across subsidiaries.
Preparation of budget and forecast
Interpretation of local legislation, double tax treaties, and monitoring of tax developments
Group’s Transfer Pricing:
Review of agreements, monitoring and interpreting legislation, preparation of financial projections and FAR analysis.
Ensure governance under local and OECD guidelines for HK, UK, US, BR, CL, CO, and UY.
Implementation of policies and governance
Group’s Restructurings and New M&As:
Lead discussions with external legal advisors and preparation tax memoranda, financial projections and presentations to the Management.
Manage tax aspects of restructurings and new mergers and acquisitions.
General
Coordination of tax audits for the Group, supporting the Legal Team;
Conducts tax reviews with external advisors and annual Group's audit for taxes
Tax reporting – Preparation of tax notes and disclosures to the Group’s Financial Statements and annual reports (20F);
Preparation of policies and procedures related to taxes;
Responsible for SOX controls related to taxes;
Tax Technical support on the implementation of technological solutions, ensuring systems are implemented in accordance with local legislations.
Requirements
Experience: 10 years or more of experience in Tax field
Knowledge: Brazilian Taxation; International Taxation; Transfer Pricing: OECD rules and to Brazilian Legislation; Tax accounting; Microsoft Office; Oracle Cloud (desirable)
Bachelor degree in Law or Accounting
Language: English and Portuguese. Spanish desirable.
Desirable knowledge of General Accounting
Desirable previous experience in Big4 firm.
Skills: Analytical, attentive to details, hands-on, good interpersonal relationship, communication
